How it All Began

Peter Rivera started his roofing career by flying over from Kauai to Honolulu for a part-time summer job. He grew with on-the-job training at Dan’s Roofing. However, it was during his days with Victor’s Roofing that he saw the need to provide for his family and the opportunity to venture out. This is how he started Leeward Roofing in 1972!

Humble Beginnings

Leeward Roofing & General Contracting began with Peter buying a used truck for himself and his sons. When they were finally able to afford a desk (as they used the dining table as a desk), he and his wife set up shop out of their home in a bedroom where they shared the desk between them both. Fun fact—the same five-drawer file cabinet still remains in Leeward’s office!
